AFRIKYLOLO CONCERT
AfrikyLolo, based in St. Louis, MO, is an infectious performance company specializing in dances from Mali, Ivory Coast, and Ghana. Led by Artistic Director Diadié Bathily, who was born in Mali and raised in the Ivory Coast before immigrating to the United States in 1998, Afriky Lolo brings a deep passion for sharing the beauty, culture, and energy of West African dance. They are the only company in the United States specializing in the folklore of the Ivory Coast. Their performances are enhanced by traditional regalia, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of West Africa, and their expertise in Zaouli and other West African dance forms makes Afriky Lolo a perfect fit for our concert's theme.
